Quick Check of Client's Paying Credibility Using Google

In some cases, especially with new, unknown clients, it doesn’t hurt to check their payment credibility online. Though this tip isn’t fail-safe, any information you can obtain from it will further help you decide whether it’s worth collaborating with this client.

In Google, enter the following text:

intext:“ClientName” +payment +(scam|delay|collection agency|blacklist) -credit

Replace ClientName with the company name you wish to check (keep the quotes though). You’ll receive a lot of results, but by quickly skimming the first few pages you’ll get an idea of whether the company is a solid one.
