Translation Memory / Terminology Database Tools

A Translation Memory (TM) is a key component of a CAT Tool, and its core role is to retain all translations that are being created at any given time during the translation process.

A Terminology Database (TB or TermBase) is quite similar to a TM; the main difference is that TermBases accumulate only specific, predefined keywords/phrases labeled as terms (short for terminology).
